We are so proud of the Catholic schools of West Virginia and all who make them the outstanding institutions they are! The Bishop’s Dinner for 2018 was held on April 22 at the Morgantown Event Center in Morgantown, WV. The room was filled with nearly 500 guests. In addition to the three teachers who received the Bishop’s Cross, two teachers received the Golden Apple and 22 teachers received the Silver Apple. Students from every school and Wheeling Jesuit University were honored as well. 26 students received the Aquinas Medal and 14 students received the St. Sebastian Medal. The Keystone Award was presented to Most Rev. Michael J. Bransfield, Bishop of Wheeling-Charleston for his unwavering and unequaled support of the Catholic schools in this Diocese.
Nominations for the 2019 Bishop’s Cross will open in late August or early September and will be due in mid-October. Please look for nomination forms to be posted on this page at that time.
